Benjamin (Ben) Cortese passed away on February 26th, 2024. He was born on July 24th 1930 in New York, NY to Simone & Paulina Cortese. He was married to Mary Cortese (deceased 2/19/2001) for 48 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather & uncle to his family.
He is survived by his 5 sons Sandy(Marion), Chris(Julie), James(Jean), Michael(Cassandra) & Anthony (Eileen) as well as his 9 grandchildren Connor(Bridget), Lauren Wallis(Guy), Matthew(Dominique), Cameron, Kyle, William, Nicholas, Kendall, & Allison.
He is also survived by his brother Ignatius of Toms River, NJ. He was preceded in death by Pauline, Lillian, Anna & Paul.
Ben was a veteran of the Korean War proudly serving his country in the United States Navy.
Ben was a longtime resident of Lynbrook, NY for over 54 years. He had a long career as a truck dispatcher & driver for Harlem Paper Company.
