Daniel Kosotan of East Rockaway passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, in his 78th year.
Daniel was the beloved husband of Jerrie (Wilschek) Kosotan, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. He was a devoted and proud father to Kristen O’Hagan and Lisa Nowakoski and her husband Michael, always offering guidance, strength, and unwavering support.
He was a deeply loving grandfather to Rachel, Riley, Conor, Brianna, Ellie, Derek, Justin, and Nicole, who brought him immense pride and joy. Daniel also carried in his heart the memory of his great-grandchild, the late Raegan Rose, who is forever loved.
Daniel will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to his family, and the quiet ways he showed his love each day. His legacy lives on in the lives of those he nurtured, guided, and held dear.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Monday from 2–4 PM and 7–9 PM at Donza Funeral Home, 333 Atlantic Avenue, East Rockaway, NY 11518. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Dana, oops I mean Danny was a great guy. He had a gentle presence, sense of humor and a winning smile . He leaves a beautiful family to whom I send consoling hugs. May he rest in peace.
