  1. My father Terrence Michael Randell was the son of Catherine Owen’s and Michael Randell and started his journey in Elmhurst NY. and was soon joined by his brother Donald. He attended Saint Bartholomews school where he received all A’s except in conduct, no surprise. He then attended Brooklyn Tech HS , ran cross country track and found an interest in building. He excelled academically and started CCNY until entering the NYPD .
On the PD he quickly rose from a beat officer in the 103 in Jamaica the 24 in Harlem , the Bureau of of Narcotics and was promoted to Sergeant and Lieutenant and later to Brooklyn North and later to Highway Patrol which he loved from the officers to the motorcycles and the horses, and was promoted to a full Inspector .
During his career he served in the National Guard graduated from Queens College and Brooklyn Law School with honors. Bonnie and I and his beloved Madeline will miss him.

  2. My father Terrence Michael Randell was the son of the late Catherine Owens and Michael Randell. His journey began in Queens NY and he was soon joined by his brother Donald and surrounded by many dear cousins.

He attended St Bartholomew’s school where he received all A’s with the exception of conduct, no surprises !! . He then attended Brooklyn Tech HS where he excelled academically , ran cross country track and found his interest in building. Upon graduation he attended CCNY, however left being sworn in to the NYPD.

He excelled on the police force , from the 103 in Jamaica to the 24 in Harlem. He was promoted to Sergeant and then leuitenant and served in Brooklyn North, Bureau of Narcotics and IAD. As a captain he went to Highway Patrol where he was promoted to Deputy and then full inspector. He found his home and loved this position and many challenges, his fellow officers, the motorcycles and of course the horses. After being transferred to the 112 and considered for chief , he retired.

During his career he served in the National Guard , graduated from Queens college and New York law school with honors and receiving the Constitutional Law honor. He enjoyed sailing , cooking, and building projects and later took security and law positions.

He was a perfectionist in his many endeavors, at times making it difficult for others to meet his expectations, however in later years he was able to enjoy the children in his life, especially his beloved Madeline

    1. Ryan, I am deeply sorry for your loss. This was a lovely retrospective of your dads achievements. He was quite accomplished in the entirety of his professional life which you described perfectly. God bless you and your entire family during this very difficult time.
