On January 14, 2026, at 11:38 am our Aunt Pat passed away under hospice care at Good Samaritan Hospital, West Islip, New York. Aunt Pat was married in the mid 1950’s to Eddie Ayers until his untimely passing in 1977. She was a lovely woman that worked over 42 years for American Airlines retiring in 1995, still traveling all over the world with her coworkers. Aunt Pat as we all called her, was a fun loving and pretty sweet soul that was always there for her family and friends. She was in her 94th year around the sun enjoying the Food Network and Channel 7 every morning. Aunt Pat really loved going to NYC not only for work but shopping at the finest stores, enjoying Broadway, partaking with family and friends at some of the best upscale restaurants and Irish pubs. She never used a computer but she still used the Atlantic Bell Rotary telephone that hangs on her kitchen wall. Our yearly Trips to Stow Vermont starting in 2003 including her sister Judith, her niece Susan and her husband Vincent were something we all looked forward to. Every August she would drive to Brick, NJ to spend   one week with her coworker Rose until she could not make the drive anymore, so we took over driving duties to allow her to arrive safely.  Aunt Pat never spent one minute in a hospital until July 2025 in her 93rd year. Her fun loving nature will be missed by all.

I adored my Aunt Pat. She was a very special woman who treated me as though she was my second mother. I treasure my memories of her taking me to see shows at Jones Beach. Loved by everyone who knew her. Rest in peace Aunt Pat.

I will treasure my beautiful memories with Aunt Pat, especially at Lake Dunmore and so many shows at Jones Beach. She had the most wonderful personality and was loved by so many!
