Margaret Mary Murphy, fondly known to so many of us as Peg, passed at the age of 95, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom, kindness and a depth of knowledge that touched everyone she met.

Peg was the very definition of a Renaissance woman. She was not bound by a single interest or pursuit but thrived in both the arts and sciences. Whether it was literature, history, or the natural world, she approached each subject with a deep curiosity and a thirst for understanding. Her versatility and well-roundedness were not just in her knowledge, but in the way she lived her life--full of compassion, creativity, and a love for learning.

Perhaps more remarkable than her intellectual achievements was the way she shared them. Peg had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and valued. She touched the lives of so many people, leaving a lasting mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her friendships were deep and sincere, and the love she gave was freely and generously shared.

She had an innate ability to bring joy to others, whether through a thoughtful conversation, a quiet gesture of kindness, or a shared moment of laughter. Peg's spirit was truly one of warmth, strength, and beauty --inside and out.

Though she is no longer with us, Peg's legacy will continue to live on in the many lives she impacted. Her wisdom, kindness, and the love she offered will remain with us as we carry forward her memory.

To Peg: You were a light in this world, and you will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know you. May you rest in peace, dear friend.

With much love, we say goodbye for now,

    The Marchetta Family
