It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kenneth Richard Hettler, who left this world peacefully in his sleep on September 25, 2025. A devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, Kenneth’s life was marked by service, dedication, and joy in the simple things he loved most.
Kenneth honorably served and retired as a Deputy Inspector, dedicating his career to protecting and serving his community with integrity and respect. After his retirement, he focused on practicing as a lawyer, continuing his lifelong commitment to fairness and justice. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kenneth found great joy on the baseball field, where he proudly served as an umpire, combining his love for the game with his commitment to mentorship and community.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife Frances, his three children Jessica, Kenneth, and Kristin, and his three cherished grandchildren Layla, John, and Thomas, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness. His legacy of strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family will live on in their hearts forever.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kenneth’s life at Donza Funeral Home on Sunday, September 28, from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 29, at 9:45 a.m. at St. Raymond Church, interment to follow at Pinelawn memorial cemetery 2030 Wellwood, Farmingdale, NY 11735
Kenneth’s life was defined by service, love, and faith. He will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him. He will be forever remembered on the golf course, fishing trips #1 fan of the PBR
