  1. John and Dee Palser

    From John and Dee Palser
My Beloved (John) went thru the Valley Stream school with the twins. I met the gals in 1968 when we worked at Liberty Mutual in Lynbrook - I was all of 18! So started a friendship that scanned half a century. My Beloved (John) grew up in the same neighborhood in Valley Stream - a few blocks away from 588 Rye Court - he lived on Morris Drive. After we were married - when we would visit his parents - I always included a trip to visit Suzie and her family. When I married in 1971 I asked Suzie to be my bridesmaid but she was not able to but always said she was "honored" I asked. We bought our home in Valley Stream in 1975 - our son was only a year old Suzie visited and I was bending over him in the kitchen handing him a lollipop and Suzie said to me "OMG! You're pregnant" - I mean it had only been DAYS since I even knew - (Leenie was just a whisper then) but somehow Suzie knew! When she was struggling as a divorced Mom she got a job as a "Salad Girl" at East Point Inn and one afternoon she called me up frantically - couldn't get anyone to watch "Lil Alli - I told her no problem - bring her to me. We hung out, I put her to bed in my big bed - read her a story and Suzie was secure in knowing job saved and Alli was safe and in good hands. My Beloved (John) worked with her Dad - both Letter Carriers in the Valley Stream Post Office. In 2017 Suzie was our guest for our Palser Family Tree Raising - oh what a great time we had reminiscing - pouring over old scrapbooks, sharing memories and trimming the tree. My Beloved is also a twin and he lost his Sister Karen a few years ago. Losing a sibling is hard but losing a "womb-mate" there are no words. Our condolences to all Suzie's family and Circle of friends - her suffering is over and she is with her "Beloved Vinny" - once again. Vinny and I were classmates - Graduates of Our Lady of Peace School - 1964.
    Rest In Peace Our Suzie-Q
    We will miss you!
