A Tribute to My Sister
From the time we grew up, sharing a room, chatting about absolutely nothing until we fell
asleep, the times dancing and singing to the Beatles and Joplin, we developed and shared a very
special, unique bond that only sisters can know.
It was during high school that your gifts to all of us began to shine and flourish. You had the
ability to befriend anyone, lift-up everyone in the room and make all who were around you feel
special and comfortable.
During high school you met the love of your life, Charlie. A very, very special relationship grew,
one that books are written about. Throughout the years, you each allowed the other to be who
you were meant to be, while your gifts to all of us continued to grow and be received. You
honored your vows and were committed to each other for 46 years.
Once Chuckie came along, my sister’s ability to love grew deeper. “My Chuckie” was all that we

heard while Chuckie was growing up. Another, immeasurable bond between Mother and Son
grew.
My sister will be remembered for many things, but those that stick with me the most were her
love of Family, her immeasurable kindness and generosity to all who knew her, and her ability to
lift-up others, all while loving life itself.
Jeannie, now is the time to fly high and dance among the Angels!
Enjoy eternity with Mom, Dad and Tommy.
Jeannie, I love you
Mary Ellen

Jeannie was a beautiful soul, and a unique part of the Vito family. Weren’t we lucky to have her? A unique person who made her way in a world that isn’t always easy and doesn’t always make sense. And what a difference she made in the lives of all the people that she touched! At my godmother’s birthday party, Jean said the kindest , most sensitive things. And I’ll never forget our conversation. I felt heard. God Bless you JV! Rest in Peace at the right hand of the Father.
    Cousin Katherine
