Lawrence E. Kasoff, known to most as Larry or Lawrie, was born on March 20th, 1949 to Mr. and Mrs. George and Isabel Kasoff. Larry grew up in the Bronx, and he was always proud to be a Bronx Boy. Starting at the age of 3, Larry spent his summers at Browns Bungalow Colony in Oliverea, NY. This is where Larry met his lifelong friends, and he continued to enjoy his summers at Browns for over 30 years. Larry graduated from William Howard Taft High School in 1967 and then attended Kings Borough Community College in Brooklyn.

He served in the Army and Army Reserves from 1969 to 1974. Larry started his successful career at NBC, where he worked for 18 years. During his time at NBC, he won multiple awards, including a Peabody award in 1986 for his Direction of the Coverage of the Attack on Tripoli. Larry continued his career as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in the Audio-Visual industry. He was also a published author, and co-wrote the finance book The First Time Investor in 1986.

Larry loved music, concerts and his New York sports teams. A die-hard Rangers fan, he was a season ticket holder for 43 years. One of his greatest hockey memories was seeing the Rangers win the cup at Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final in 1994. Over the past 14 years, Larry looked forward to spending each summer in the Poconos where he enjoyed attending concerts, dining with friends and relaxing in the country.

Larry was the beloved husband of Carmela, to whom he was married for over 47 years. He was the loving father of Melissa, treasured father-in-law of Jonathan and cherished brother-in-law of Mary, Frank and Linda B. Larry was an amazing uncle, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed.
